The Winter Sunset Byron Bay Sea Kayak Tour

The Winter Sunset Tour isn't just your everyday tour. We don't run them everyday. Only when we see an amazing afternoon forecast will we run one of these tours. 

End your day in a chilled out way. .This is a shorter duration kayak tour of just over an hour on the water taking in the sunset light in our beautiful late autumn and winter seasons You will also have a great view of Byron's coast line and the Byron Bay lighthouse from the water. Wetsuits provided.

Your Tour Program:

1. Your 75min kayak tour will start at Byron Bay beach

• Meet all your fellow paddlers
• Pair up on the 2 person kayaks
• Learn the basics of paddling a sit-on-top kayak

2. Then we hit the ocean

• Impress your friends (and yourself, just quietly) getting out past the shore break

• Learn about local Aboriginal stories and sacred places. The culrural history of this area is amazing and will give you a new appreciation for this beautiful place.
• Paddle along The Pass surfing Mecca, Wategos millionaire row and Cape Byron, Australia's most Easterly point
• Keep an eye out for those cheeky dolphins, whales when in season and turtles popping up for a breath of fresh salty air. It is such a priviledge to see these marine mammals in their own habitat, wild and free and not in captivity.
• Be amazed by the clear water, colour and variety of the tropical fish & reef

3. Take a Break

• Relax and take in the spectacular coastline scenery

• Enjoy the stunning view of the Byron Bay coast line and lighthouse whilst paddling back to shore
• You might like to surf a wave back to shore - we will show you how

• GoSeaKayak tours are in Cape Byron Marine Park
• No experience is necessary, our expert guides teach you all you need to know
• Winter Sunset Tours are $75 per person ( these tours spend less time on the water so dolphin sightings may be less.) 
• Children from 5 years old and upwards can join our tours.
• This tour starts at 4:00pm and finished about 5:15pm approx
• Meet at our trailer opposite 56 Lawson St. Byron Bay 20 minutes before your tour time.
